Should We Make The Federal Death Penalty Mandatory In Cases Where A Police Officer Is Killed By An Illegal Immigrant.

I?m not going to "source" this, since it?s so readily available to a straightforward search on-line. Illegal and legal immigrants are flaunting our laws to the tune of 30 percent of our prison population is Hispanic.The Federal death penalty, now, is in the hands of the jury?and it is not mandatory. I favor taking the option out of the hands of judges and juries and making it mandatory, in instances where an illegal immigrant kills a cop.

Why pick on illegals?I'd go so far as to say ANYONE(citizen or not) who kills a cop with malice(i.e. not a car accident) gets the death penalty.Why reserve that just for immigrants? The cop is just as dead.   ElBanditoRoso 31 months ago

Should we? I think our death penalty should be used much more often than it is. Will we? Nope. Most of us Americans seem very reticent to execute the convicted, and I suppose the malarkey that happens in Texas is a validation of that feeling.   danielpauldavis 31 months ago
