Shouldn't a husband take his wife's side?

Postby ardwyad » Wed Aug 01, 2012 2:01 am

When she gets in a fight with someone else? This woman was saying mean things to my sister when we were in the store all because she claimed my sister had jumped her in line, my sister let her go in front of her because she was sick of her mouth but then when we were in the parking lot she straight up called my sister trash and so my sister told her that she can't call her trashy when she used food stamps to pay for her groceries and even came to the store with a shirt with holes in it (it's true the lady really did) then told her to go back to her six kids and try to find their dads if she even knew who they were and even suggested that maybe it was someone in her family. Then the woman tried to take a swing at my sister when my brother in law stopped her. Then when we were in the car he said that she shouldn't have said that and how she should have let it go and that woman might have been going through hard times and she got mad about it and to be honest so did I! I think he should have been on her side especially since this woman started with her over something petty as being next in line! Am I right?

Shouldn't a husband take his wife's side?

LOL that was crazy, but it was hilarious to read what your sister told the crazy woman! Yes, I agree with one other answerer that you sister shouldn't have lowered herself to the crazy woman's level. She even let the woman go in front her in line! Some people just wanna fight, it seems. So yes he should have taken her side or at least told the woman to back out if she tried to swing at your sister... or he could have called the cops because then the woman would go to jail for trying to hit your sister. Wow there are so many lowlifes out there... just try to stay away from them. I know it feels good to tell them things but sometimes it's not worth. No telling if she could have pulled a gun! People are crazy nowadays.

He might be her husband, but also has a mind of his own. being a husband doesn't automatically take his own opinions away, how would she feel if every time anything happened that he did, he expected her to take his side? even if she didn't agree with it? personally, I understand her anger, but what she said was out of line.

No way should a husband always take a wife's side! everyones entitled to their own opinion and your sister acted like a freak. And believe i know about freaks my Mom is like your sister - AGRO and i get so embarresed whenever she freaks out just cos some guy got into a parking lot before her. You should tell your siter to take a chill pill.

No you are wrong, your sister lowered herself to the idiots level. Somethings are best let go, just think of where they are coming from and let it go. if you bust a cap in everybody that talked smack, then you would just be wasting money on ammo. besides , the guy did stop her from being hit right, that is protecting her, so look at it that way. and just Let It Goooooooooo

I understand his point of view. No need to lower yourself to some crazy woman's level. Then again, I bet you if it was a guy and he made some remark against your husband, he'd have been all over that. Men are the worst with that stuff.

Not if she’s being a psycho, like your sister was. The right thing to do would have been to walk away. Your brother-in-law was the ONLY right one in the situation.

Your brother in law is right. Your sister needs to act like an adult and realIze some fights are not worth fighting. Why should her husband face assault charges for fighting or stopping a fight in a parking lot over her mouth?

He is seeing things through a guys eyes. He can't go around having a fight with a woman no matter how wrong she is. It take a big person to walk away.

no you are not right. you think he should have sided with her even though she was being extremely immature? i would have left her in the parking lot and made her walk home.
