Some Americans Are Worried About "government Death Panels." Why Was Nothing Ever Done About The Insurance Companies'

death panels which decided not to insure persons with preexisting conditions? It's basically a death sentence to be seriously ill and have no insurance coverage. What about the insured who were dropped from coverage because of a catastrophic illness like cancer?Keeping all this in mind, how could any American think the old system better than the change which Pres. Obama has proposed? We elected the guy because we trusted him, believed in him and now we must support him in his effort to get all Americans insured. What do you think?

Lobbiest still use trillions of dollars to manipulate the masses and the extremely wealthy win everytime. Americans need to wake up from their deep slumber and acceptance of the status qo. What most people fear the most is change more than anything else. President Obama is for some people the frightening symbol of change. He is the evil change agent that is making them uncomfortable. God forbid should they be required to think about health options or think about positive options of anything.   The time is right for a dictator with all the answers to take over America as did Hitler in Germany or time for the heads to roll as during the French Revolution. we are nearing another flashpoint of history and most people are dummed down into a state of apathy and denial that is allowing the precious Democracy we have enjoyed for 200 years to self destruct.   Many people feel that suffering and misery are holy and worship the exact opposit of what is actually possible in a Democracy. The Far Right Christians are more like the ultra despotic Muslims they despise than any other religious group. They think that suffering is Christlike and that if they endure they are holy and are going to make it to heaven.   This results in mental illness of the masses and a rise to power of the likes of personalities or persons like George W. Bush and his Evil sidekick Chaney, cheered on by the likes of the media Court Jesters the blivatvoting bouncing blubber ditto head Rush Limbaugh and the manipulating anti-Christ team of Fox News who all worship money instead of God.

Because private death-panels are acceptable and .gov ones aren't? IMO it is because people feel that they have little control over companies internal workings, and have more control over government. Besides, it is much easier to sue a private company.

I can't see justifying correctly a bad situation with another bad situation. No "death panels" should exist.

Tho I can only think that such laws were written a very long time ago "for such a time as this" because one doesn't get a 1,000 page, or even 800 page law written that quickly. The question everyone is haggling over is whether this "law" does fix that problem. With the calls to vote on before it can be read, I'd suspect not. I needed two weeks just to read Gone With the Wind.   Read the article.
