When you were 17 and driving on a provisional license, the DMV could take action if you had TWO points in one year, which you did. Once you are fully licensed it takes FOUR points in one year (although any points can affect your insurance). Citations for excessive noise do not add points, and points stay on your record for only three years. So, if you are convicted of this offense, it looks like your license is safe--if not your wallet.
