Statute Of Limitations For A Minor

Postby Osmond » Fri Jun 13, 2014 1:21 pm

Hi,

Thank you for the opportunity to answer your question.  The answer depends upon the state your case would be in.  In New York the statute of limitations is 3 years from the date of the accident which in the case of a minor does not begin to run until the age of majority(18).  You shouldn't wait another day to call a lawyer.  You can call 1-800-HURT-911(1-800-487-8911).  My office can represent you if you are in New York State.  If you are in another state, depending upon your type of injury, we will either represent you or recommend a local lawyer who specializes in personal injury.

I hope I have been of some help.  If you have any further questions, feel free to let me know.  I would like to thank you for requesting my advice and I would appreciate your leaving a comment for me at AllExperts.com.

Good Luck!  and be sure to check out my web site www.HURT911.org which has a lot of useful information for you.
