Sued For Child Support Without Paternity Test

Postby Gibson » Fri Jun 27, 2014 11:39 pm

I am being sued for child support by a woman in Germany who is claiming that I am the father of her now nearly 4 year old son.  Her first accusation came in 2008 while I was still in Germany, which did not work.  She is now going through the Attorney Generals office to sue me for back child support.  No paternity test was ever done or requested by her while I was in Germany.  She told military authorities that she only wanted money.  I do not have alot of money for attorney's fees at this time but, I will pay as fast as I can.  I recieved the papers today for being sued.  Can you help me?

Get a paternity DNA test done.  The Attorney General's Office can arrange this for you. Legally you can't owe support if you were not married and paternity was never established. If the test results are positive that are the father, you should get an attorney to arrange for a fair support order and parenting time with your child.

Are you in the military now? If yes, the Judge Advocate General's office can help you arrange for a paternity test, too.
