Anyway, I don't think it's OK to hire illegals. I don't think our borders should be porous. This is partially b/c multinational companies are killing us (and other countries for that matter. Even the ones making dirt-O-nothing an hour would be better off learning how to make their country's natural resources work for them (and, incidentally, cutting their population so they don't overwhelm their country. You wouldn't want Japan to have, say, a billion people.) and has nothing to do with Mexicans being browner than myself. I also don't want Canadians coming in. In short, I think all nations should close their borders until we get things fixed.

and no, 'cleaning your house' is not a worthy exception.

If an individual is hiring an employee, they should check out their status first, just as we expect a company to do.

But if I hire a day worker to rake leaves or something, I shouldn't be held to that standard.
