Come on sweetie, both Republicans and Democrats take advantage of illegals. Clinton's treasury secretary had to resign because of an illegal maid. This is no big deal. Most rich people don't really pay attention to the legal status of their help. In my neighborhood in NJ it was commonplace to hire a nanny from overseas with no legal status in the US.

I had a conversation with one of my financial advisers who is from Lebanon and the discussion was about the merits of Filipino live-in maids vs. African live-in maids. Neither of the live-in maids are legal in the US. The wages you pay a live-in can be much less than a non-resident maid. Most rich people are rich because they keep their money.

I think the indentured servant thing is a good thing. It can give an illegal a leg up after a period of time, plus the sponsor gets the labor for free or really cheap. Everyone wins.
