My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Illinois
I will start with some background information.
I am currently 30+ and have already received 1 speeding violation 3 months back with "No court appearance required". This speeding ticket was in Illinois for 55 in 35 mph. This is my first speeding violation, payed the fine and attended a Driving Safety School to get this violation of my records.
Now, I got the second speeding ticket for 50 in a 30 mph (within 3 Months)
I got the second ticket while driving out of my apartment, on the drive which is around 1 mile to join the Illionis Route . The drive is one lane each way and this has couple of curves .
Knowing this, I am sure I wouldn't have been on 50 mph.
However, I received this second ticket with a Individual Bond and marked "No court appearance required" . And it shows incident method - "RADAR" ..
Since it is less than 12 months before I took the Driving Safety School , I am not eligible for the same and Court Supervision.
I was hoping to show up to court and the question I have is that if the judge overturn the cops decision to just give me a normal ticket? If that's the case i'd rather not take that risk by going to court.
Also, what is my best recourse for attempting to refute these charges!?
Is there a provision to avoid this being reported ... Or should I just pay the fine ....
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
I also really need to decide in next couple of days ..
