Vehicle Missing Windshield Vin

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: colorado.

i just bought a used vechile from the dealership. when i took it to get emissions. the guy told me it was missing the windshield vin. and they could not do the emissons on it. take it back to the dealership further looking into it the vin on the door was a replacement vin. i couldnt find any other vins on the truck as of yet. my question to you guys is. is it legal to sell a vechile missing the windsheild vin. thanks for your time

Have you stopped by a dealership or any other professional to identify the vehicle by VIN and to make sure it matches the title? The police may also be able to assist, at least to confirm that it's not a stolen car.

I hope you resolve this problem soon. I have some similar experience and its not amusing

I would take the vehicle to your local highway patrol inspection station. You may have a stolen vehicle.
