Want to go to the Coast Guard! How?

A "cop" as in police officer? In the US? If so, your best bet is a degree in Criminal Justice. You can get that through tuition funding provided by the Coast Guard, but the experience alone is not enough for even smaller towns so much anymore. Most police forces want a college degree.

Stay in good shape, keep your nose clean, and KEEP your grades up (Coasties have the highest percentage of college graduates). Bosun's Mates (BM) do the majority of daily law enforcement but a lot of my Quartermaster (QM) friends have been assigned to Law Enforcement Task Force details and have gone onto the DEA, ATF, and Customs.
