What do Labor Laws say about Sick/Personal Days?

Postby patwin87 » Sat Jul 14, 2012 7:36 am

I have a few questions about taking personal days off at work. By law, how many personal AND sick days are employees aloud to take per year?

Also, when I call my work to say I can't come in for the day, is it illegal for them to ask me why? Am I aloud to not say?

There are no laws mandating employers concede paid time off, or even unpaid time off. That is why it is called a benefits package.
