My brother in law is a drug addict. Hes on pain meds and the doctor he went to was JUST busted in a raid. After he saw the raid on the news he said he was going to rehab. I called a friend of ours who just completed rehab to know what to expect. Heres the weird part...the guys wife and mother threatened to put our friend in jail for what he was doing. He called my mother in law and told her what was going on but my bro in law doesnt need to worry about him "ratting" on him... but he didnt know what his mother would do. My mother in law noticed a certain truck at their house right around the time he went into rehab and later she saw the guy in the truck talking to a police officer off the rd by them self. Ive noticed that whenever Im at my brother in law/mother in laws house that I get followed by the police when I leave. She hardly ever comes over to my house but the one time she did a cop pulled in a lot across the st from my house and sat there. Btw I NEVER see cops on my rd let alone sitting across the street from my house. Today I went to talk to her about my bro in law going to rehab and had a guy in a truck watching me. I took back rds to be sure and saw the truck three more times..every time the guy put his hand up to his mouth like you see in police shows..like he was talking to someone on the radio. I described the truck and guy to my mother in law and its the same make, model and the description of the guy sounds the same. I am a pretty level headed person but I am SURE that my brother in law is under investigation and Im worried Im going to get caught up in it. Ive been in trouble when I was younger and I got arrested for crimes my boyfriend (at the time) committed, sentenced and all. I need to know what to expect. Please dont call me paranoid...if Im paranoid so be it, but if its for real I need to know how to protect myself. Thanks

I must answer this question every month it seems.

First off lets get real, the police will be able to tail you so well you wont be able to tell your being tailed. Second off, if their cover is blown the tail usually stops. Third, there really is no protection needed, maybe the best protection is stop doing actions that you think would get you in trouble.
