I gotta give Obama "credit" ; At least He did SOMEthing... While Everybody ELSE just "talks the talk...". -And does NOTHING. :(

There is no new law. Only Congress can make laws, and not the President.

What happened is that the President made public what has been his policy all along since he took office in 2009: deport no young folks who would be eligible under the proposed DREAM Act.

In addition, he promised that some of these kids will be able to get work permits, called "Employment Authorization Documents" for up to 2 years. However, this executive order can be removed as quickly as it was put in place in case Romney becomes President next January.

So the status quo is as before: no young illegal immigrant -- who did not get in trouble with the law -- has to fear deportation 'til at last January.
