What does she mean when she ask me to hangout and smiles at me all the time?

I was asked by a friend I go to school with to hangout, but I am not sure what she means by this. I have known her for six months and I would consider her attractive. The first time she asked me to go somewhere with her it was to a dance, and I blew this off believing she just wanted someone else to be there with her so she would not feel uncomfortable, and was surprised when she looked disappointed. I tried to blow her off again as a friend would when she asked me out; I really didn't think she was being serious, but she was so insistent on it that I agreed, now I am sitting here thinking about calling someone that 3 hours ago I would have done without a second thought. I am not blind I can tell she has some interest in me, but does her recent actions make you believe that she wants more than friendship. I would not be opposed to a relationship, but since we are both students who share the same major and a lot of the same classes I think it can become uncomfortable.

Shes definitely interested! ^^ Do you get a long as friends? as in, do your conversations ever get awkward or nobody knowing what to say? If not then it seems like a good start, and maybe you should give it ago!
