What does 'The Corporation' in Australian law mean?

In acts such as the Victorian Road Safety Act 1986, there are references to 'the Corporation'. What does this mean?
For example:
"5AA Functions of Corporation
The functions of the Corporation under this Part are—
(a) to administer the registration system established by the regulations; and
(b) to maintain a register of motor vehicles and trailers in accordance with the regulations;"
Can this refer to any corporation?
