What Fictional Character From What Book Would You Most Like To Meet?

Postby Auriville » Thu Jan 30, 2014 4:21 pm

I would probably be afraid to say too much to him for fear of showing my comparative ignorance but I would love to spend some time watching that mind of his work. I would of course want to spend time with him on a case so I could try to be as observant and deductive as he. If I could only pick up a small percent of his technique I could become one of the top detectives of the 21st century or better yet I could write so fascinating mystery novels.

Whom I like to meet most. If you consider Bible a fiction, I would like to meet Jesus.  I know.  I will probably get flamed for this for calling Bible a work of fiction.   But if you exclude Bible, I would like to meet Sherlock Holmes.   GoodAnswerGuy's Recommendations Jesus of Nazareth Amazon List Price: $24.95 Used from: $14.00 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5(based on 104 reviews) The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Volume II(Barnes & Noble Classics Series)(Barnes & Noble Classics) Amazon List Price: $7.95 Used from: $5.39 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5(based on 127 reviews) GoodAnswerGuy 73 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. What Fictional Character From What Book Would You Most Like To Meet?

I would very much like to meet Rae(aka Sunshine) from Sunshine by Robin McKinley.  I would want to spend my time picking her brain for recipes and baking tips.  She?s an avid baker, it is what she?s always wanted to do with her life, and I enjoy baking greatly.  In the book she makes all these delicious sounding desserts.  I would really like to make some of them.  Of course, in the book the are secret recipes, but I think that by the virtue of being from another world, I could probably convince her to let me at them.  After all, when visitation is over she?d be in her world and I?d be in mine.  No one would ever know, right?    I would choose Rae for the reasons listed above, but also because if I've got a chance to meet one fictional character - I could do amazing things like ask about their motivations or discover literary secrets from throughout the ages, but in doing so I'd be putting a strange end to some very classic questions.  I think literary mysteries are good for us, so instead of doing the "great" thing, I'd like to meet someone I think I would get along well with to do something really fun.  It might not help the literary world, but it would definitely help my baking.

What Fictional Character From What Book Would You Most Like To Meet?

Postby Colywnn » Thu Feb 20, 2014 4:31 am

I'd like to meet Erik, the Phantom of the Opera. I'd like to have a tour of his opera house with him, and I'd like him to tell me the story of his life  over a couple bottles of wine from his collection. I want to hear about all his travels, his adventures, his triumphs and heartbreaks.   I'd like to ask him if he really killed the Comte de Chagny. I'd like him to tell me his version of what happened between him and Christine. I'd tell him that I believe there was more to it than we learned in the book. I think, whether she meant to or not, Christine gave him reason to believe she'd at least consider his suit.   And I would like to hear him sing, and play his opera for me.   LarssenAbdo's Recommendations The Essential Phantom of The Opera Amazon List Price: $14.95 Used from: $7.49 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5(based on 5 reviews) LarssenAbdo 73 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
