What if i missed a Workers compensation hearing?

Hello guys, I had an accident on the job and was home for 12 weeks. I was paid for the time I was home. Now I am back to work. The problem is I was supposed to attend a hearing at the Workers Compensation Board in New York. But I missed the date and turned up the next day instead. This hearing was setup by the workers comp board. The clerk there told me that I missed the date, and that they will mail me the paper work. My question is how serious is this? What will happen? What I should do?

most likely whatever this hearing was held for has now been resolved since you failed to attend.......
without knowing what the hearing was for we can not even guess at the outcome or how it will affect you.

In my opinion the hearing will forwarded to the next date. And on that date you have to give valid reason for the absence and also have the proof of that.
