What Is The Best Denver Suburb To Live In And Why?

Postby Deverick » Tue Feb 04, 2014 6:31 am

My husband & I(no kids but three cats) are relocating to the Denver area and want to purchase a house someplace with easy access to both Boulder and Denver.

What Is The Best Denver Suburb To Live In And Why?

What a treat to drive out of the Denver smog at the end of the day and smell the air turn fresh, cool, and scented of pine. I don't suppose that would work for you though, seeking access to Boulder as well...it would mean another 20 minutes on the road. I guess it depends upon what your priorities are. 61 months ago

What Is The Best Denver Suburb To Live In And Why?

Boulder is considerably more expensive compared to the other Denver burbs(as a matter of fact, a Boulderite will most likely be insulted if you suggest Boulder is a suburb of Denver). The land-use restrictions have effectively limited the available property that can be developed, so you're going to want to look SE for something more affordable. There are several nice communities along the Boulder Turnpike(rte 36) that have grown rapidly in response to the limited land available in Boulder county, and there are several northern burbs(look around Thornton, etc) with nice areas to live that are convenient to both Boulder and Denver. Depending on where your job(s) are, I'd suggest you give preference of proximity to the area you're going to be working rather than the area you want access to for less frequent trips. The Denver/Boulder area is HUGE(spreads nearly endlessly to the east) and still growing. As in many places, the infrastructure is trying to catch up, but it can still be a long commute if you put yourself in an inconvenient location to work.Best wishes relocating! I wish I still lived there!

Well I was going to suggest Parker - as we have a home for sale there ;-) but it's completely opposite Boulder in the south east area. I wish I did live there too!

What Is The Best Denver Suburb To Live In And Why?

Each part of Denver has its own unique character. Have you checked with the local Real Estate Agents? They will be able to offer you some perspective on what each neighborhood will have to offer your family and your situation. :) Sources: http://www.dexknows.com/local/real_estate/real_estate_services/real_estate_agents_and_brokers/geo/m-denver-co/ duransam31 58 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
