What is the eviction process for non payment of rent in new mexico?

Postby reid » Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:16 pm

My landlord has told me she will evict us in 3 days and i must vacate. I haven't paid the rent this month, because I don't have it as my business has been slow and I am paid on commission. What happens if I don't leave in 3 days? Please refrain from rude remarks, I'm just struggling like everyone else, and I am not a dead beat loser or a person who doesn't pay their bills, just a person in hard financial times. Thanks for your input.

The landlord files with the courts. The sheriff removes you in about 2 weeks. Your commissin checks will be garnished for everything you owe, plus about 500, the costs of getting a dead beat out.

You are not struggling like everyone else. Most people do not feel the need to steal anyone elses income. You are using your landlrod for a free ride, which fortantly will be recordec on your credit report so the rest of us will know what kind of person you are.
