What is the law about trespassing if your invited to someones home?

About six months ago i was invited to my estranged ex-girlfriends house to discuss something very important. I walked because i had a few drinks already. When i got to her door a police car sped up and i went to jail for PI. He also gave me a criminal tresspassing warning. I forgave and we have started talking again. She invited me over again last night and again i walked. She opened the door and invited me in but she had to get on the phone privetly in another room. I felt something not right and immediately left and went home. I saw a police car pass on the way. What is the law pertaining to trespassing regarding that situation?

If you are invited onto the property - there is no trespass violation.

I surmise that at some point your ex has filed a restraining order against. Based on your previous experience which resulted in a criminal trespass warrant, you should avoid all contact with her.

Well, even if she invited you over, it's your word against hers. If she says you showed up uninvited even if you didn't, then you could be arrested for criminal trespassing since you already got a warning for it.
