What Is Your Experience With Various Cell Phone Carriers? Specifically At&t Vs. Verizon Or Sprint.

I've employed all 3 services, and most lately I've been utilizing Verizon.    ATT earlier had fairly great service, then went downhill.  Uncovered places started like my house and function.  Since then they've acquired sufficient infrastructure that the GSM service is improved.  The benefit of GSM is you can arrange issues to use the service throughout the globe.   Sprint in no way had very good service for me, even though they have been slowly improving.  Their coverage places are mostly in urban areas.  That said, they often had important holes that complaining about in no way enhanced.  They took my son's account when other individuals declined due to his age.  Pals have very good things to say about their data service.   Verizon is in the mode of declining service about right here, but they still service my home and work areas really effectively.  They also service the area exactly where my daughter is attending college, and all our "family program" calls are free.  Where other data service makes it possible for good access to transfer files to/from the phone, Verizon locks that up so only their destinations can be reached.   I think it's a good concept to use the 30-day trials they all offer to discover out if the service in the region the phone will be utilized is adequate - and most important.

The primary thing is whether you get good service where you want to use your phone I've used all three services, and most recently I've been using Verizon.    ATT earlier had pretty good service, then went downhill.  Uncovered areas started including my home and work.  Since then they've acquired enough infrastructure that the GSM service is improved.  The advantage of GSM is you can arrange things to use the service throughout the world.   Sprint never had good service for me, although they were slowly improving.  Their coverage areas are mostly in urban areas.  That said, they always had significant holes that complaining about never improved.  They took my son's account when others declined due to his age.  Friends have good things to say about their data service.   Verizon is in the mode of declining service around here, but they still service my home and work locations very well.  They also service the area where my daughter is attending college, and all our "family plan" calls are free.  Where other data service allows good access to transfer files to/from the phone, Verizon locks that up so only their destinations can be reached.   I think it's a good idea to use the 30-day trials they all offer to find out if the service in the area the phone will be used is adequate - and most important. ghamma 78 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. My contract is almost up as well and I am trying to decide what to do.  I had AT&T before and had similar problems like dropped calls.  I don't ever plan on going back to them.  Verizon is great.  I love them, but my husband's work phone was just switched to Cingular/AT&T.  Verizon has InCalling and that means that every phone call you make to anyone else that has Verizon is free.  This was great because I could get a cheaper calling plan using less minutes because my husband and a lot of friends had Verizon.  Unfortunately, my husband(who I call the most) had to switch cell phone companies because of his job(at least he doesn't pay the bill!)    Now, I am thinking of checking out TMobile's Fave5.  I think it is Tmobile where you can select 5 people on any network to be called free of charge.  I am torn though because I really love Verizon.  I would hate to switch and have problems with Tmobile.  I would love to hear any feedback anyone has on them.   Another good thing about Verizon is that you get a new phone every 2 years.  They call it "New in Two".  They give you $100 towards a new phone every 2 years.  I have just picked phones that are under $100 every time.  I don't need the fancy phones that can get on the internet and all that.  Although, I would like to try Verizon's new feature - VZ Navigation.  It will give you directions like a TomTom that you can get for your car.   I've never tried Sprint, but my mom has it and she likes it.   In my experience so far, I would advise Verizon.  I will most likely be sticking with them.  I just have to increase my minutes.

What Is Your Experience With Various Cell Phone Carriers? Specifically At&t Vs. Verizon Or Sprint.

i have used cingular(now at&t), nextel(now sprint) and verizon i have used all three carriers.   cingular was the WORST!  i had constant problems with not having a signal and a ton of dropped calls.   nextel - i loved for the ptt.  it was really convenient to use.  the phones however, were too bulky and expensive, but they were the only ones with the ptt technology at the time.  the phones were pretty sturdy though.  i didn't have nearly as many dropped calls or signal problems, but i still had some.  their cell phone insurace, would only replace your new phone with a refurb......  they don't give out new phones for insurance replacements   verizon - i have been with them now for a year, and they are excellent.  i rarely have a dropped call and the only time i have been without a signal is if i am seriously in the middle of nowhere - passing over a mountain, etc.  my phone has even worked for me in an elevator.  customer service is pretty good.  haven't had any problems with them yet, knock on wood....
