Will An Unlocked Iphone Have Full Compatibility With Gsm Carriers Other Than At&t?

Postby Rourke » Sun Jan 12, 2014 5:25 pm

I hear the iphone demands fairly a bit much more than a simple unlock code like some motorola and nokia phones do. It is undoubtedly able to be done, my friend has accomplished it but I am not completely sure how. But yes, everything must be just the identical as if it was on T-Mobile. I do have AT&T and I have no complaints, they have excellent customer service and I am extremely pleased with them.

To the best of my knowledge, Visual Voicemail is absolutely carrier specific.  As for me, I'm waiting for: It to get a user replaceable battery(I charge spares in standalone charges, and swap them in and out of my phones, as opposed to being forced to plug the phone in). It to have a minimum of 64GB of space(the point at which for me, it's really a viable alternative to an iPod classic). It to have modem tethering capabilities. And, the one thing we wont likely see for a long time: T-Mobile to get it. I dropped AT&T a few years ago, switched to T-Mobile, and haven't looked back.  With their My Faves plans, reasonable BlackBerry unlimited plans(which include unlimited data when tethered to a PC as a modem), and world-class customer service, they're the only carrier I'll use.  I'm particularly put off by AT&T's required 2 year agreement.  If it's tied to their service, and it's not subsidized by AT&T, where the heck are they worried you're going to go with the phone?

Visual Voicemail is only available on AT&T. The Visual Voicemail feature only works on AT&T because it requires support from a server that the other companies don't have.
