What laws should I bear in mind for this business?

Renting costumes, deposits required. It'll be just online and local, so no store or anything. I also won't be hiring anyone. What laws do I need to bear in mind when making rules on the condition they're returned in ect, and how do I take deposits? Due to the high price of the costumes, deposits will be around £2,000, so it's not something I was to be flippant about. Do I literally just exchange the costume for the deposit and put it in my bank or something until the costume is returned? Maybe via paypal?

you are posting a UK query in a USA forum

it makes little sense to restrict yourself and activities to on-line only--few people buy on line goods
compared to go to store goods.

and you are finding it already, hard to figure out how to do many things that would be easy to do
if you had a shop/store............soo
find someone who has a costume store and partner with them!!!!
