In China, men and women are just allowed 1-kid. In Japan, you are capable to just consume or buy Western grain. Are you able to identify even far more Crazy Regulations? In Iceland, the only true pets permitted are seeing-eye dogs.

What Are Some "nutty" Laws Of The World?

Postby Barclay » Sat Feb 01, 2014 9:06 am

I use crazy laws with my advisory kids for an activity every year.  I have a bunch of them because each year, the kids find new ones and I find new ones.  I?ll pick out my favorites.  Keep in mind, that while these laws actually are "on the books" of the particular states or cities, they are not always enforced anymore.  Here goes:   Yamhill, Oregon:     It is illegal to predict the future. The State of Kentucky:     It is illegal to sell a duckling that is dyed blue. Galesburg, Illinois:     It is illegal to own a smelly dog. The State of Hawaii:     There are no billboards The State of Florida:     Doors to businesses have to open outwards. Rehoboth, Delaware:     It is illegal to pretend to be sleeping on the boardwalk. (we never could find out if it was illegal to REALLY be sleeping on the boardwalk) Troutdale, Oregon:     It is illegal to fight in a river. University City, Missouri:     It is illegal to own PVC pipe. (!) Belton, Missouri:     It is illegal to have a snowball fight. Kern County, California:     It is illegal to play Bingo while drunk. And here are some good Ohio laws: It is illegal to get a fish drunk. Having a dual is illegal. It is illegal to arrest someone on the 4th of July(and this is true in a number of states) It is illegal for women to wear patent leather shoes(too bad this one isn?t enforced LOL) In Marion, Ohio you may not eat a donut while walking backward down a city street. In Toledo, Ohio it is illegal to throw snakes at people. I do have many more - I just thought these were the best ones.
