I had a workers comp claim for the last one year and I was under job restrictions. My doctor said my knee pain has become chronic and I don't have the ROM even after I had seen physical therapist few times. I keep on loosing my ROM. My knee gotton worst to the point that I have been limping lately. I have a problem walking and standing for a longer period of time. I also have a problem bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders, going up the stairs. My pain has become chronic according to my doctor. He gave me a permanent job restrictions. He never rated any impairment. My claim is recently closed. My manager told me that there is a possibility that I may be terminated due to job restrictions. He said my employer may not keep me there if i have a job restrictions. My manager also told me that it happened to another employee before who got terminated due to her job restrictions. My manager told me he will let me know within two weeks whether they are going to keep me in the job or not. My manager also told me that it would be unfair to other employees since they have to do more job than me and get paid same amount of money as me. Will I be protected by ADA (American Disability Act) if I get terminated by my employer because I can't work without job restrictions. If i get terminated, should I hire a lawyer? Will I win the case if i hire a lawyer. I am not disabled. I just have a permanent job restrictions. If I am not protected by ADA, what shall I do to get my job back. Through whom will I be protected. Where should I seek help. It is very tough for me to find a job outthere. I have applied so many jobs and attended interviews and no luck finding a job. I can't afford to be terminated from this job either. I really regret that I went through workers compensation. I think my employer most likely going to punish me for that.
