What would you do? Certainteed shingles lawsuit.?

Postby kendon19 » Sun Apr 03, 2011 9:13 am

We have a warrenty for our shingles and there's been a class action lawsuit. Here are the details.

Would you consider going along with this settlement or go and get your own lawyer? What is your opinion on the better option for those who understand the legalities etc. Thanks

Do you have a problem with your shingles?

Certainteed sells a wide variety of shingles. If your shingles are not defective....then you have no cause to sue Certainteed.

Therefore, I'd start with having a reputable roofer or engineer come out and inspect your shingles to see if they have the defects claimed in the law suit.

If you are going to sue, get your own lawyer. In a class action lawsuit, the lawyer gets the goldmine and the clients get the shaft, only a pittance of what they deserve. Pennies on the dollar.

I would go along with the class action lawsuit.I don't know anything about that kind of law but I do know a lawyer is going to get his part.
