On-line search engines If you are a law student I would recommend trying to find them in the library, it may seem silly now but there is a benefit to being able to use the books. However there are ways to find the laws on line including the two biggest legal search engines: LexisNexus(lexis.com) and Westlaw(westlaw.com), at both of which, for a large fee, you can search for all sorts of legal documents based on key words or citation(or several other methods) and get copies of the text, annotated by lawyers employed by Lexis and Westlaw. If you don't want to pay, you can try LexisOne, which offers just the text to various statutes and cases. No where near as extensive as the regular Lexis database, but it is free. Or you can go to the Washington State Bar Association Website's law links page (http://www.wsba.org/lawyers/links/default.htm) and work from there.
