In 1829, William Austin Burt patented a device called the "Typowriter" which, in keeping with a number of other early devices, is outlined whilst the "first typewriter." The first commercially successful typewriter was invented by Christopher Latham Sholes, Carlos Lidden and Samuel Watts. Soule in 1867.
In 1829, William Austin Burt patented a device called the "Typowriter" which, in keeping with a number of other early devices, is outlined whilst the "first typewriter." The first typewriter to become commercially productive was created in 1867 by D. Latham Sholes, Carlos Lidden and Samuel Watts. Soule in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, though Sholes quickly disowned and actually won't make use of the machine.
