Wht abut upgrade nd phones for two years? urgent knowledge needed!?

my frnd called att custo. servi. Some cust. serv. techni. said 5 months back," she has upgrade available on May 12, 2012 and she shuld get iphone 4 (as a free) as her contract started with dataplan nd iphone4!" Today a lady said, yes she can get iphone 4; 8gb but she has to pay 1 time-activation fee (36$) - as account was suspended for 2 months and she has to pay new dataplan charges whch is $20+. before suspension of account she was paying $75 (according to nystate law taxes, 39.99 +15 intrnt + 5 msg) now she has to pay; $39.99+ $20(internet)+ $20(messaging; as she already had in the plan, she cannot remove messaging, and no pay per use in messaging as she had 200 messaging).

So now before taxes she has to pay 80$ + taxes + one time activation 36$.
We r f-upped right now!

any help what are the possible scenario to come out of this issue!
(she has until 9 th sept. 2012 to close the 2 yr contrct; nd she can keep suspension account until aug7..) but we need to use the phone now!

i'm not exactly sure what youre asking but you have to get the data plan w/ a iphone, where i'm from you have to anyone..

get another phone if you don't want the data? but like i said, i don't understand your question. good luck
