Why can't he just admit he was in the wrong just and apologise?

I need some help with this =/
It was his sisters birthday meal yesterday evening and his mum asked him to ask me if i wanted to come along. But he didn't bother to asked me because he thought i wouldn't of been ready in time...... he had half an hour to let me know? My issue was, it was half way through the day and i had already told him previously that i was in town so he knew i was up and dressed and i hadn't had work. So i was available!! When i texted him that his reply was " omg :( you could of met my brother in law damit" I replied ":( disappointed in you, you coulda ask me" then he said " I would of just annoyed you :p i'm in a hyper mood today me and lee (his brother) both" then added " and oi don't say you're disappointed in me :( ". I replied " but it would of been nice to of at least been asked :( i would like to meet the rest of your family" then i added " that's kinda upset me that you just assumed i wouldn't be ready :( so you didn't bother asking me, it's common decency to at least ask" he replied " i didn't know i was going, I got home from work and got told :( " ???? it was he's sisters birthday surly he would of know they were doing something. So i said " and you just said you had half an hour warning to ask me if i wanted to come by your mother?" him > " no i had half an hour to get ready...." me> " and your mum asked if i wanted to come in that time?:S" him> " nooo after, why are you being shitty I said sorry" ???? emmmmm no you didn't!! the last thing i said to him was " you didn't adam :( look through the text's you've sent me? sorry hasn't appeared once. I'm really upset i'm not pissed off with you" he's not replied back to me? i'm i right for being upset here? and why can't he just admit he's in the wrong and say sorry :( it's really getting to me.

From what I can make of your ramblings, He obviously didn't want to take you to his mum's house or he would have asked you and not cared about you being ready or not ready.
