This brought my blood to a boil. There is no justification for it. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who feels tremors in the earth when this pointless slaughter occurs. Why? I just cannot grasp why humans do this to other creatures. Tigers are endangered, lions are borderline endangered. These animals did not choose to be locked away in cages, they did not choose to live in the society of men. They wanted out, so an opportunity, and took it.
Now animals do not understand the laws of humans, nor the concept of human property, so in escaping, it was no different in their minds than it would be escaping into the wild. So instead of being mature adults, and capturing them, the irresponsibly kill the animals. Who is one man to decide the fate of so many lives. I do not see humans as being more important than the other species on this planet.
I am not a vegan, a vegetarian, nor am I an 'activist.' I am someone who feels deeply in his soul that this slaughter was a grievous sin against the earth. I don't care if anyone laughs at me for my beliefs, I just want to know why, why do they do these evil things?
