Why does Ron Paul think it is a good idea to allow raw milk to be sold to consumers?

We already have the right to drink raw, unpasteurized milk if we want to, but he wants is the right for business to sell it to us. Therefore is Ron Paul really misrepresenting his own ideas?

how can you drink it,if it's illegal to sell it? the only way to drink unpasteurized milk is if you have a share in a cow...

There's too much government, and they need to stay out of our lives...

and I agree with the other person, who cares.

Why not when I was in Europe I used to drink Raw Milk and nothing happened to me. As a matter of fact it tasted one million times better than Pasteurized milk. If you are so concerned with diseases then maybe you should be out there protesting illegal immigration. Most diseases come to this country through people who bypass our immigration laws.

Swine Flu remember that. How about the new resurgence of TB and other diseases we got rid of.

Not every state alows people to drink raw milk. The issue isn't raw milk but should the government be able to tell you what you can and can't eat, drink. Our constitution says we have the God given right to put anything in our bodies that we choose. As you can see it becomes intusive when big gov tells us what to do all the time.

Um, then he'd be being true to his ideas....

And if people don't want something, they won't buy it, and producers will stop making it. This is all covered in Econ 101 at any local community college.

I personally do not have a cow to milk. Do you? Where then do you intend to get the milk?

I actually have a hobby of making cheese I like to engage in once in a while. Cheese should be made with raw milk. Pasteurizing the milk can destroy some of the lacto-based bacterias necessary to make cheese. Furthermore, lactobacillus acidophilus is usually destroyed in pasteurization and it is very beneficial to the intestinal system of humans-something doctors know well.

Weis The amount of critical sickness caused by raw milk consumed by people who specifically ask for it is so low that you have no case. And I'm Henry the VIII so I outrank you.
