Why hasn't John Edwards been more succssful in politics? ?

As we know, liberals love a smooth talking liar (Obama, Clinton) and John Edwards is very smooth. The liberal media dumped sHrillery for "The Messiah" , no doubt because her people skills fall just short of Papa Stalin. Liberals love a good liar but not John Edwards.

Is it because he is a southerner with a Carolina accent? New York and Boston liberals look down on southerners, is that it?

Is it because Edwards was a shameless personal injury lawyer, taking 40% contingency fees, exploiting horrific tragedies and frivolous law suits? No, I recall Michael Moore's "Sicko" completely gave personal injury lawyers a pass.... hhhmmm... evey health care worker and firm have to buy expensive malpractice insurance and force patients to take needless procedures and operations, in fear of the predator trial lawyer. Of course all these expenses are dumped onto the consumer and Michael Moore totally missed that in his documentary.

The "my wife is dying card" was as believable as the Clinton's romantic New Years Eve photo-op but Edwards was already wounded by then.

Is it because Edwards has no bandwagon like Gore's environmental con?

Why has John Edwards not reached the upper tier of the democratic party?

Is John Edwards ever going to be the democratic party candidate for President?

Would it help if he had an affair with Caroline Kennedy?

This is what the lawyers do with their big words and their knowledge to get away with improper doings. They are all talk and will not do with their promises. I can't believe how attorneys are able to take from the people they represent in court as they have too many rights. A person does wrong and they do have a way to make them innocent by saying and doing what is taught when they are in law school. Personally I don't trust them. All they took from me is monies every way possible and you have nothing to do about as they have the ins and outs to do this.

You anti-Obama people sure do come up with some clever names for him (sarcasm). He hasn't been as successful b/c he hasn't found the right path. But don't think for a minute that he still has not been successful in his own right. To mention his affairs in such a sarcastic and negative way almost leads one to believe that you forget any and all transgressions that have occurred on the Republican side of the aisle. All politicians are humans, and make mistakes.

It must suck to have such a bitter taste in your mouth. Edwards is staying out of the limelight ever since he got busted for having an affair. He really screwed the pooch on that one, especially since he spent a lot of time preaching "family values" That's certainly not something that is party specific, is it?

Edwards has never come across as anything but a cheap trail lawyer in an expensive suit. The fact is that Edwards is a bottom feeder and cannot convince anyone otherwise.

He was not able to garner enough widespread appeal. Clinton is a Southerner also, but he had a more widespread populist appeal.
