Why is Fox News conservative while Fox Channel more Liberal?

Not trying to slander anyone but just wondering why fox news is conservative while the actual channel tends to show liberal programing.

a contradictory situation . it is saying one member of family is conservative while other is liberal
Programs generate money in a different way than news channel . Probably this fromat maximises the green backs

They are completely separate corporations, but have the same name. FOX News is in New York, and the Fox broadcasting company is in California.
