Why wont my employer or the police do anything about this ex tentant bothering me?

Postby devon » Mon Jul 30, 2012 10:01 am

I legally evicted my tenant 6 months ago. Now she is emailing me AT WORK (by the way , I never gave her the email address, she must have snooped around and got it) , saying things like what I did was not legal and since she left all her stuff she will charge me with theft,ETC. Well, I only had to hold her stuff 28 days. After that I have NO obligation to store or give her her stuff. Shes emailing me things saying "you have 7 days to reply to this emial or Im pressing charges " blah blah . Making up laws. I told my employer and the police that this is long over with and I feel harrassed. My work said 'it's a personal matter" and the police say "well just call us if she shows up at your house or anything"
SO I just have to put up with this ? O and I cant affored to file a restaining order its like $300.

My email lets me block unwanted senders. Have you tried doing that?

BECAUSE it's YOUR PROBLEM.

It's not your employer's problem to deal with, nor is it a police matter.

She's harassing you. Or shall we call it in the parent world, 'empty threats.' If she couldn't pay her rent and you had to throw her out, the skank has no money to sue you or whatever. I wouldn't worry.
