Wii Players; Have You Played Zack & Wiki?

Postby hewlett » Mon Dec 23, 2013 10:54 am

Zack & Wiki is a nicely accomplished point and click puzzle game in the style of classics like Kings Quest. Capcom produced this lovely game to use the Wiiis movement settings in new and fascinating techniques. Critics have normally loved this game and it retails for $10 significantly much less than most games. Even so it has sold quite badly. If you have played it what do you think about it, and why has it sold so badly? If not, why not?

PenguinSage stated: 1 I'll heartily concur, RocketSurgeon, that Zack&Wiki is amongst the most enjoyable activities avaialble for your Wii. The figures are ubelievably adorable(pirates, horse, silly shows galore). But it attracts ladies and males so significantly. The entire sport is 1 huge problem considering that it bends your brain. Then this game is for you, if you like logic puzzles and brainteasers for enjoyment! Enjoys it. 73 weeks previously

Wii Gamers; Perhaps You Have Played Zack & Wiki?

It'd really tiny advertisements:(Itis a disgrace for Zack and Wiki because it was among the very first really great 3rd party Wiigames that was not an interface or perhaps a mini game choice and I believe had it been marketed more, it'd've accomplished greater. I anticipated that Wiki and Zack could be this seasonis "Viva Pinata" in that it had been an outstanding game but as well cartoony for older players, also complex for youngsters. Relaly builders want definitely to promote activities like Wiki and Zack and Okami far more when they want them to market place. I have not noticed just a single industrial for this. Let us hope when Okami is ported for the Wii, that it finds the audience it deserves.*******************This sport most likely went unnoticed by many players, myself included. In the starting glance, the name causes it to be out to be some animation network sort of sloppily come up with technique. But it is anything but. What it's, is Capcom's wink to old-college players. The ones that loved traditional Sierra activities of years previous.Utilizing the wii distant, you indicate wherever you need to have Zack togo, and together with his pal Wiki(a yellow horse who appears even cuter than Pikachu, or perhaps more irritating, primarily based on how you experience the yellow animal), he moves accross 8 unique sides. Diverse from exotic Destinations to Lava filled caves. The characters are pleasant and vibrant. Zack for example is absolutely eating a candy bar, his favorite food. Even if he is dropping to his probable death. This shot of humor is just a welcome inclusion set alongside the gory and extreme activities lately on competitive systems. There is genuinely a small bit of puzzle-solving in this sport the more you acquire. Even though you require surely to mess with your stock and learn what involves with what. And just how to make use of the wii distant exclusively to resolve the following problem. The Wii controllers use within the handling of puzzles is quite very good. This sport is just a 4 out-of 5 in many different approaches. All round since it utilizes the gyro and sensor. And the only actual purpose I give it a four, is the fact that I have the Wiiis disks are huge sufficient to suit full voice-acting. Alternatively what we get is sort of a banjo kazooie sort emoting of sound clips. Each and every personality has about 5-ten different issues they will "let out" nevertheless. For example, Wiki: "Zacku. ." if speaking with Zack. "oohhhhh" if discovering anything thrilling. Frequently they will also speak a variety of words. Frequently in japanese or possibly a composed babble vocabulary. It gets the process completed. But my choice in click and point activities is total voice-acting. A'la the Leisure Suit Larry games, Later Monkey Island games, and etc. .Taking that in brings me for this realization. Wiki and Zack is among the prime games to the Wii. And deserves a position in just about any player's collection. Sources: Amazon.com Gamespot.com einlanzer 73 weeks previously Please register to give a supplement. I will heartily agree, RocketSurgeon, that Zack&Wiki is one of the most fun games avaialble for the Wii. The characters are ubelievably cute(pirates, monkey, goofy cartoons galore). But it appeals to men and women because it bends the mind so much. The whole game is one giant puzzle. If you like logic puzzles and brainteasers for fun, then this game is for you! Loves it.

Wii Gamers; Have You Played Zack & Wiki?

It's a shame for Zack and Wiki because it was one of the first really decent third party Wiigames that wasn't a port or a mini-game collection and I think had it been advertised more, it would've done better. I feared that Zack and Wiki would be this year's "Viva Pinata" in that it was a great game but too cartoony for older gamers, too complex for kids. Relaly developers need to advertise games like Zack and Wiki and Okami more if they want them to sell. I haven't seen a single commercial for it. Let's hope when Okami is ported to the Wii, that it finds the audience it deserves.*******************This game probably went unnoticed by many gamers, myself included. At first glance, the title makes it out to be some cartoon network type of sloppily put together platform. But it is anything but. What it is, is Capcom's wink to old school gamers. Those that enjoyed classic Sierra adventures of decades past.Using the wii remote, you point to where you want Zack to go, and with his companion Wiki(a yellow monkey who sounds even cuter than Pikachu, or more annoying, depending on how you feel about the yellow rodent), he travels accross 8 distinct worlds. Varying from tropical Islands to Lava filled caves. The characters are colorful and enjoyable. Zack for instance is always chewing a chocolate bar, his favorite food. Even when he's falling to his likely death. This injection of humor is a welcome addition compared to the serious and gory games of late on competing systems. There is actually a bit of puzzle solving in this game the further you get. As you have to tinker with your inventory and find out what combines with what. And how to use the wii remote uniquely to solve the next puzzle. The Wii remotes use in the solving of puzzles is great. As it uses the sensor and gyro in many different ways.Overall this game is a 4 out of 5. And the only reason I give it a 4, is that I feel the Wii's discs are large enough to fit full voice acting. What we get instead is sort of a banjo kazooie type emoting of sound effects. However each character has about 5-10 different things they will "blurt out". For instance, Wiki: "Zacku. ." if talking to Zack. "oohhhhh" if finding something interesting. Sometimes they will even speak a line of words. Usually in japanese or a made up babble language. It gets the job done. But my preference in point and click adventures is full on voice acting. A'la the later Leisure Suit Larry games, Later Monkey Island games, and so on. .Taking that all in brings me to this conclusion. Zack and Wiki is one of the top games on the Wii. And deserves a slot in any gamer's collection.

I don't think so are you sure? this game is one of the best games on wii. maybe you only checked one store? what about others or amazon for example?Amazon.com Sales Rank: #107 in Video Games it doesn?t matter if its less $10 than the other games. in the end, -$10 is one of the way to advertise. also, piracy is the biggest problems for film, music and games industries. only the Online-Games or the MMORPG have a protection against piracy. you have to pay for playing monthly.
