Despite the fact that Fannie - Freddie - Dodd and Frank with a coating of Schumar started it all.....and the nation's economical meltdown then commenced AND EVERYTHING that occurred afterwards up to today is the financial destruction and collateral damage impact because of it. ===> But to sit back and go into denial that Obama didn't make many things worse is pathetic.

--- I lmao the most to see a neighbor city of mine who "had" a business that Obama's own Office of Management and Budget recommended to the white house "NOT" to approve funds as their business plan WAS NOT sound. GUESS WHAT? Obama made a trip on tax payers money for political photo op with the former CEO of the company. Solyndra got the $535 million ( 1/2 a billion ) of tax per money and after a year......went bankrupt.

HIS ONLY CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT
The last 36 months of this man's agenda has his 1 landmark legislation voted into law which will have the feature shelf at his presidential library next to the SCOTUS ruling - a law that costs a trillion bucks which his party in congress voted to pass before many of them actually read it.

And in record time it made it to SCOTUS after 1/2 the NATION filed suits to stop the mandate of Obamacare.

Obama has made mistakes- Solyndra being the most famous- but he has made some serious strides in the white house.
I believe the NATIONS unemployment rate is 8.1%
- my state of South Carolina is higher sadly. And though it is high, it is still pretty good for a nation with no true jobs bill being passed( look at the number of filibusters the republicans used last session). I mean the President needs a federal jobs program but almost every state bends over backwards to avoid his money. Look at New Jersey claiming an extension of a tunnel under the Hudson river into NYC would cost almost 3 times the actual cost and turned it down and jobs were lost.
When it comes to college education, sometimes I ask myself how useful was their degree. I guess being a science major I feel like I'm better than others cause of the demand for chemist. But in avoidence of being a red herring, we need to talk about the growing student debt bubble. For the first time in US history student debt is higher than credit card debt- around $1,000,000,000. And the unemployment rate for recent grads is around 25%. But Obama has made strides to lower this debt issue. Lower interest rate, reformed the loan process(no middle man) and making for profit colleges more honest about their programs and tution.
We- America- have some of the lowest taxes in our nations history. Between 1950 and 1960 the rich tax rate was 90% of their income. That source of revenue built the interstate system, NASA, schools, some states college was free, we had the largest middle class, the debt was around 127% of our GDP after WWII, by 1980 it was 40%. We can tax the rich cause it works for everyone. Or we can pretend Reaganomics is working for everyone, and not just the rich.
I think his crowing achievements are: Passed universal healthcare, 26 months of job growth, SALT treaty with Russia, trade deals with South Asia, saved GM, reformed wall street- well trying to especially in the light of the London Whale ordeal- reformed student loans, ending the wars, and repealing DADT. He isn't perfect, but he has done some good. In avoidence of "blaiming Bush", people need to realize it is easier for an economy to go south than up. Many economist agree for every year of economic damage, you need two to recover.
