Wormens Compensation Injury?

Postby charlot22 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:57 pm

I was injured due to cut in blood crime scene cleanup having to go to the doctor and have blood drawn for HIV/HEPATITIS B. Employer ignored my limitations of hands to stay dry/clean. We have HazMat Crew in our Company, and I should have never been in Apartment anyway or made to perform clean-up. WC Lawyer is starting process against company. OSHA did an On_Site investigation, and former co-worker tols OSHA all the truth and OSHA found it to be a SERIOUS Violation. What can I expect on settlement amount when it comes to OSHA Violation resulting in Injury?

OSHA never gives money to workers. OSHA may fine your employer for the serious violation, but OSHA keeps the money. Your medical expenses should have been covered by Worker's Compensation insurance. If your injury resulted in lost time or disability then you may receive some type of settlement from the insurance company, however, if all you received was a "cut", as indicated above, then just get back to work and stop trying to get money!
