We were at Jerry's snow cones today with my entire family because my uncle and aunt came down and Jerry's has the best friggin snow cones in the world. So, after waiting 15 minutes from ordering the lady called out two strawberry creams. My dad went up and the snow cones had this yucky slime on it, and my dad said it was suppose to have ice cream on it. Well, the 16 year old said, "No. You ordered it like that. Take it." And started to argue. She said she wasn't going back to make it and was like "You ordered it like that! I didn't make a mistake!" So my dad said, getting all serious and father-reprimand like, "Look at me, I don't want to argue. Go back and make it with ice cream. Even if I did make a mistake! Just go back and I will pay you again if you want!" Well the lady still said no! And kept telling my dad to take the ice cream and she wasn't going to make another because she was set that was the way he ordered it. Even as my dad said, "Okay! Just go make one with ice cream and I'll pay you!" By now it was getting ridiculous and my dad said, "Fine. Give it here." So when the kid handed it to him, he (Might have intentionally...probably..) tipped it over, acting to accidentally miss it and it spelt on the pick up counter and said, "Oops sorry," then walked off with the other wrong snow cone. I'm sitting like this is ridiculous!! So, after my dad went into the car some guy started yelling at him calling him a a**hole. And my dad said, "theres kids around." Everyone inside in snowcone building started flipping out!!! Like, it wasn't that big of a deal! There was just a blob of icecream in a tiny circle on the counter and the kid said "He threw it at me!" WHAT? I was there, it tipped LOL! And everyone was like "Oh my! He threw it! Are you hurt!?!?" So Jerry, the owner of Jerry's went to my dad and started yelling at him threw the car window saying like "how dare you throw it! I called the police that's vandalism!!! The law is coming right now! Get off my property! You are banned!" I'm in shock so I go up and the people around me are bashing my sad saying he threw it and so I step forward and say, "He didnt throw it! It just tipped, look its not even a mess just a blob of ice cream and snow cone on the counter! Literally smaller then the perimeter of your hand. And said, "Let's not make a big deal. I'll clean it if you want to."

Who's fault? My dad shouldn't have tipped the icecream, but they treated him so poorly! Even after my dad was trying to reason and say OKAY ILL PAY YOU AGAIN but the girl still refused! Then saying he threw it at her!?!? Haven't they heard, "The costumer is always right?" She should have just made the dang snow cone! Bid deal if it was a mistake or not! Plus, could the police charge him for vandalism for a spilt snow cone or would they just laugh and say why did you call the police on this man? Because I think to call the police over a small matter like that is RIDICULOUS!

What do you think?

The police have actual problems to deal with and would not be happy to be called out because someone spilled something at a restaurant. People spill stuff at restaurants. It's not like your dad actually damaged anything.

One basic point of customer service- you need to try and give the customer what they want regardless of whether that's what they ordered. If I were running the store, that employee probably would have gotten fired on the spot.

if Jerry called the police for vandalism, he wouldn't have a case. there are probably security cameras in the building? if it gets that serious, the police will refer to them and see what really happened.

i agree that calling the police over spilled snow cone is ridiculous. haven't they ever heard, 'it's no use crying over spilt milk'?

Its hard trying to live off minimum wage. Your dad is an annoying, entitled asshole. He should face a fine for being such a prick, hopefully they got his immature *** on camera.

Tell him to tame his temper and be courteous of others. Ice cream isn't even good for his health.

Not vandalism. Some places even have fines for calling the police over a matter like that.
