I got this notification on my bands cover.
Musical Composition administered by:
The Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA)
Now we didn't use any Musical Composition* as it claims. We used tabs to learn the piece but not a formal composition. I thought it may be possible that Alter Bridge had some sort of connection with the company but there is nothing online. I don't want these guys to have credit for anything they didn't take part of. We gave credit to the artist (Alter Bridge) and called it a cover. I've been given the option to claim it is not valid with these options.
I believe this copyright claim is not valid because:
I own the CD / DVD or bought the song online.
I'm not selling the video or making any money from it.
I gave credit in the video.
The video is my original content and I own all of the rights to it.
I have a license or written permission from the content owner to use this material.
My use of the content meets the legal requirements for fair use or fair dealing under applicable copyright laws.
The content is in the public domain or is not eligible for copyright protection.
What should I do? Just leave it be? Or which option should I pick? Can you give me more info if this company claim is legit? If it is I don't mind. Help me out?
