Ankle pain but no swelling?

Postby oded » Tue May 29, 2012 12:36 pm

I went for a run with a client of mine. Felt fine, no injuries whatsoever. i run most days as I am a Personal Trainer and do Triathlons as well. I was showing her some inversion and eversion exercises with the foot. (We had our shoes off at this point) . When I put my left shoe back on i felt this pain in my ankle bone and tenderness all around that area. I took my shoe off and wiggled my foot around and it felt fine. Put the shoe back on and it hurt. It seems to hurt and give me aggravation when my shoe is on as it pushes against the ankle bone and the area around it. But i don't feel it any other time. Doesn't throb or hurt when i move my foot either which way. Only when the shoe is on and I am walking or running. I have been icing it constantly for 5 days. Doesn't feel like it has got better however the pain also feels very surface orientated. Feels like it is just bruised as it is only sore when i touch it. Any ideas? Thanks
