Any Recommendations For A Vacation Rental In Maui?

Postby Weardhyll » Tue Jan 21, 2014 5:46 am

I am looking for a vacation rental in Maui for the first week of August. Ideally, I would prefer something in the Kihei/Wailea area, near or on the beach, and able to accomodate 8 or so people. If you have any personal recommendations it would be best.

I don't know, but things like that come up in conversation a lot on Maui, Hawaii on facebook. Lots of residents on there and people who travel to Maui a lot.

vrbo.com is a bunch of vacation rentals by owners. Good list and great prices. For condos, go to aaoceanfront.com. They've got a bunch.

are you set on Maui? Why? Have you considered another island? I've been to Maui three times and Kauai four, and I would DEFINITELY pick Kauai in a second over Maui - first because you can rent a huge vacation house on the north shore of Kauai, past Hanalei near the end of the road, for half of what it'd cost in Maui; second because the beaches are better and not nearly as busy; third because food is cheaper and better, and the diving is WAY WAY better.. And finally because now on both United AND American, direct flights to Kauai from LA are about 20% cheaper for some reason. Wailea isn't too bad, but it is kind of overtouristed in August and that's a pretty crummy time to go ... everything is way more expensive. I've had good trips there but won't go back now that I know about North Shore Kauai... Sources: many years of visits bacon 85 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. Try Paradise Vacation Rentals: http://www.mauiparadisevacations.com/ -- they'll either be able to hook you up with something or refer you to someone who can.I wouldn't expect to be able to get one unit for 8 people. You'll probably have to split up into two units, unless a lot of people enjoy sleeping on the floor. :)-kb
