Bankruptcy questions?

Postby norwyn » Thu Nov 24, 2011 11:30 pm

im considering the option of filing bankruptcy and was wondering which option was best for me (chapter 7 or chapter 13). I have a net income of about $2500-3000, roughly $20000 in credit card debt. I have a truck thats in my name and my father-in-laws name and is my primary source of income because im self employeed. Im the kind of person that would like to repay my debts but it has gotten so out of control i can no longer handle it. I need to keep my vehicle so what would be my best option? Thanks for any advice.

Most likely you can keep your vehicle filing chapter 7 which will wipe out your debt.
Many lawyers will give a free consultation so you can find out what is best for you.
Good luck
