Business license help.?

Postby cumhea » Thu Mar 31, 2011 2:53 pm

I am going to start a business with a friend of mine painting and I was just wondering what the first step is in the process. I know I need a Florida business license but I'm not sure which. We will be a L.L.C. so we can apply for workers compensation exemption but I'm not sure which license to get apply for. It's interior/exterior residential painting so no zoning or contracters permits should be necessary right? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Check with your state government, sec of state office or the Small Business Development agency. They have FREE consulting. Also check out SCORE.org for more FREE business consulting.

Check with your County Clerk and see what forms you may need. Also check with nearest office of Internal revenue Service- Taxpayer Assistance Division and see if they have any free literature on you applying for workers compensation in your state.
