California Family Laws: Custody Fights...

Postby felding10 » Thu Dec 26, 2013 3:48 am

For that reason a lady of curiosity lifestyles in California, and a man and she contains a 9-month old with each other, however they are not committed. In taking into consideration her going more than here to the east coast, we ponder what limitations we is likely to be experiencing with her and her boy. She was once offered advise that she may well transfer over right here before custody is determined with out problem, and that may actually play in her favor for earning complete custody... that appears phony, but who truly knows? I truly hope that you might. In addition to that situation, how should concerns play out for an successful move more than right here to the east coast?

Unless the father has gone to court and won partial custody, he has no say in where she takes the child. Now, if she is expecting child support for the baby, that changes things. If the father is being a man, and is going to pay support, he has the right to see his child. This is a matter to be discussed with an attorney. 60 months ago

California Family Laws: Custody Battles...

If there is already a custody case in progress, then moving out of state, especially on a whim, could end up being very expensive, financially, and could cause her to lose custody of the child.  Judges/courts do not like it when people do that, and they can get vindictive within the scope of the law.  And, she'll need to fly back and forth for hearings, and since she moved, she may have to pay for *all* transportation for the child for visitation.  She could also face charges of custodial interference.   I do have a question though - how well do you know this person?  Do you know her personally, as in "in real life" or just from a computer and phone calls?  If this is the case, then be very, very, very careful if she is asking you to support the move - it could be a scam.   If this is above board, then a move from the west coast to the east coast should not be an issue - just rent a U-haul and move the stuff; it'll probably take about 3 days of driving and cost about a grand if you do it yourself.

Do not do anything without first consulting an attorney!!!!!!!!!
