Hello!
I recently read an article http://ua-reporter.com/novosti/89838. It says: <<According to this law come into effect on August 20, every ethnic Hungarian, starting next year, will have the right to file a request for obtaining Hungarian citizenship. To do this just to prove that your ancestors were either Hungarians or Hungarian citizens were or subjects of the Austro-Hungarian and Hungarian-speaking. The applicants also must not have criminal records and do not represent any threat to national security in Hungary.>>

Well, my great-grandfather was born just in Lviv, the city was ruled by Austria-Hungary. He was born in 1896. A Lviv was ruled by Austria-Hungary, as we know, from 1772-1914. That is, he was born and spent 18 years in the territory of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Now it's Ukraine.
The question, if I can on this basis have the right to apply for a Hungarian citizenship?
