Good moral character for US Citizenship?

Postby raleah » Fri Jul 06, 2012 11:31 am

I previously lived in Canada, and was found charged/guilty of section 268 (aggravated assault) under the Youth Criminal Justice Act almost 4 years ago. Shortly after that, my family and I moved to the USA on a visa. By November of 2010, we all received our Green Cards. I will be applying for US Citizenship around August of 2015 (since we are allowed to apply 3 months prior to our 5 year date of having a Green Card).

By the time I apply for US Citizenship, it will have been roughly 7 years since my run in with the law. Given I meet all the other continuous residence requirements, will I face any roadblocks in proving "good moral character"?

No, you were not charged in the US.
