Can I Get A 1yr Contract On A Verizon Phone?

Postby Gearoid » Wed Jan 15, 2014 11:05 pm

They changed this a couple of years ago.  At first I was capable to renew mine for only 1 year since I'd been a very good customer because the early 90's.  But then they would not even let me do that.  I believe if you actually pushed it...got a manager, created up an excuse...you may get away with it if you caught a person on a great day.  Great luck.

Can I Get A 1yr Contract On A Verizon Phone?

Certain Authorized Dealers do offer them! I formerly sold Cell phones for a company called Wireless Retail.  This was a few years back, but we gave our customers the flexability to choose a 1 year or 2 year contract with Verizon.  There were more perks for signing on the 2-year.  Typically the phone was discounted even further, or you would be eligable for more rebates.  These are all sales tactics since the 24 months of steady payments is to their best interest.   To directly answer your question, yes you still can sign up for a 1 year contract with Verizon.    If you search for the string "one year contract" in this listing, you will see others posted that they have signed a 1 year agreement with Verizon.  You will not get as good a discount on the phone though:   http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-RAZR-V3c-Verizon-Wireless/dp/B000CQZG9W   Here is another forum talking about the 1 year contract with Verizon:   http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/northeastern-us-wireless-forum/6625-amazon-verizon-wireless-vzw-phones-1-a.html   I would check with authorized dealers(in the mall typically).  Asked them if they can do a one year.  I know companies can do it still.  You can also call Verizon and ask them directly if this is possible anymore.  Be sure to ask if any Authorized dealers can do this.   dwdrums's Recommendations You Can Hear Me Now: How Microloans and Cell Phones are Connecting the World's Poor to the Global Economy Amazon List Price: $29.95 Used from: $18.72 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5(based on 3 reviews) dwdrums 81 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment.
