Ok a few weeks ago I got a phone contract and I entered all the information correctly, apart from the age. I didn't realise it was against the law, I mean I know it's different but everyone does it to get youtube and Facebook accounts. I know I can pay the bill as I have paperround and a lot in my savings. What do I do? Have you or anyone else you've known ever done it? I somehow passed the credit checks, but had to pay a £100 deposit, why?

I don't think it's against the law, probably just against the phone company's rules and regs. I would just keep quiet and pay your bills on time, the worst they can do if they find out is cancel your account with them.

You paid the deposit because you DIDN'T pass the credit check, because you don't have credit. If you can afford the plan you picked then pay in a store with cash.

its against the law for a minor to be involved in any contract like this. You cant have a contract to your name because you dont have a credit score. If its on your parents name then its ok and you can pay it, but it cant be in your name. Also you cant have a contract unless you provide your very personal info, contact the local authorities and have them investigate this.

you wont be in any trouble, unless you were scammed.
